I am Rishima, or Moonbeam, the author of this blog. I was born in the Bhopali winters of ’07, in India. I have ever since then, known India to be my truest home. The inspiration behind this page’s name is related to the meaning behind my real name, and also how I aspire to and hope to inspire others to live life; with much love and light.

Although I was born in India, I never lived there for long. I have moved from country to country since I was 3, having lived in the continent of Africa for over a decade. I have had a multitude of experiences and have met wonderful people, all of which shape me to be the person I am today.

The vision I have for this page is to be an abstract compilation of all my thoughts, experiences, and most of all a light in the dark. A place where I speak about what we as humans may already observe, feel or go through, be it good, bad or the ‘everything in betweens’ of being us. A place to express all the parts of being humane, through my lens.

I’ve had a passion for many things throughout my life and hopefully, will always continue to. For me, writing has been one of those prominent things that light my spark. Since I was very young, I’ve always tried to let out this love in any way possible, be it through creative writing in elementary school, essays in high school, or even a bunch of notes app poetry. I constantly seem to have something running through my mind and honestly there isn’t a better way to reach out than a personal blog. I have huge interests in history as well, and I may just speak about them here, someday. Enough about me; I must say am glad to see you indulging in my writing here and hope you find any sense of recognition in my work.
